Our second author study focuses on Eric Carle. We added thirty books to our Shelfari page which we find to be very educational and motivational, while having great illustrations. There are many extension activities which go along with these wonderful books written by Eric Carle, which can be found on his website.
Our first author study will focus on the works of Jan Brett. In our Shelfari tab you can find twelve of our favorite books written by her. If you scroll over the picture of a book, you will find a summary.
I read this book when I was younger and this video you posted is great! It would be really cool if you could record your mentee's voice over the video. Then they could narrate the story and watch/listen to it through their own voice! I also like how your book shelf links you to Amazon so you can see the description and also the price of the book new or used. The video of Justin Bieber reading Dr. Seuss is great too :)
ReplyDeleteI loved this video. This was one of my favorite books growing up as a kid.I like that the video stated true to the book and the illustrations imitate the pictures in the book. I agree with Allison it would be a cool idea if you used your mentee's voice instead of the original narrator.

I really liked this video. I remember reading this book when I was a kid. The video brings new life to the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In terms of the website, I really like the look and feel. It is very easy to navigate and very organized. Like Allison, I also liked the shelf links to amazon.com.
ReplyDeleteWe’re glad you liked this page. There actually are different ways to record your mentee’s voice, using a Mac computer. We’re learning about this in the weeks to come during our technology class so if you are truly interested in using the voice over as a resource, let us know and hopefully we’ll be able to help you with this.
